The Brothers Movement : Logo design

I was contacted by Neil Paxton lead singer of 'The Brothers Movement' (signed Indie rock band) to design their logo. I of-course accepted the challenge.

The Brothers Movement is comprised of brothers Neil (guitars/vocals) and Conor Paxton (bass) along with Danda (guitar/vocals), Scott Glennon (guitar) and Andy Parkes on drums.
Hailing from Dublin, The Brothers Movement formed in 2007 and in a short span of time have shared billing with established rock acts like The Jesus Mary Chain, MC5, Chemical Brothers and Sonic Youth.

Silk painting: Vintage screen

For this I was given three silk fabric panels to adorn with gold paint and gold leaf.

The silk fabric has gone through several layers of different types of gold medium to achieve texture and an antiqued effect.

Once the panels were covered in gold to my satisfaction, I then painted the bird and plant scene on top with a selection of fabric paints.

When the panels were complete I then harnessed them onto an antique wooden screen supplied by the client.
